JANNAI

How can one architecturally intervene in an existing building typology to make it adapt to the life and lifestyle of its new dwellers?

JANNAI belongs to a small family who wanted to merge two row houses belonging to a former banking colony, into a consolidated permanent home. With living spaces and 4 bedrooms, on the ground floor and a guest room on the terrace, the skeleton and outer skin of the house were respected, making design interventions to only the organs and their interaction with the family.
